Can I get help with childcare costs for sending my child to Daisy & Jake?
The short answer is that you probably can! There are lots of different schemes available though, and the Government has put together a website to help you find out which you are eligible for. Visit www.childcarechoices.gov.uk, enter some information about your circumstances and it will tell you which of these offers you can apply for.
Tax Free Childcare
For working families, including the self-employed, for every £8 you pay in, the government will add an extra £2.
Tax Credits for Childcare
If you are entitled to Working Tax Credit, and you and any partner are working at least 16 hours a week each, you can claim back up to 70% of your eligible childcare costs.
Universal Credit for Childcare
If you, and any partner, are working, or you’re due to start work, and you’re claiming Universal Credit, you can claim back up to 85% of your eligible childcare costs.
If your employer offers childcare vouchers or arranges your childcare, you can get up to £933 a year in tax and National Insurance savings.
Hours Free Childcare
There are different rules for 2 year olds and 3 or 4 year olds, but most families are eligible for 15-hours of free childcare.
Hours Free Childcare
Working families where each parent earns over £120 a week, but less than £100,000 a year, could be eligible for a total of 30 hours free childcare for 3-4 year olds.
